A DAY IN A FAIRYTALE

For those of you who don't live in The Netherlands, or do, but just have never heard of this amusement park (shame on you), I like to tell you that this park is not like any other amusement park. It doesn't just have roller coasters and fun rides, good food and fast food, a clean toilet, or a great giftshop. This, my friends.

This is pure magic.

PINAFORE'S AND OVER-THE-KNEE TIGHTS!

Over the knee socks were always a fashion fantasy of mine. I never really wore them, though, because it felt like too much of a hassle to constantly tugg them up. What a drag throughout the day. But everything changed when the fire nation attacked. Nah, just kidding. This ain't avatar. Everything changed when I made my way through primark on a rainy day. Because that is where I discovered my first ever; over-the-knee TIGHTS.

These things were great. And I'm talking GRANT. It was instant Japanese schoolgirl look, without the risk of the wind blowing your skirt up, or some creep trying to wisk up your dress. It was comfortable cuteness. Now can you believe that? Who would've thought there would come a day that allowed comfort in fashion? The day is here my friends. It has finally come, the invention that allows girls to be fashionable, and have a day of fun without having to keep their skirt in place, and without the constant checking if the socks haven't sacked to below your knee. WOMAN ARISE, WE SHALL SUCCEED!

..Until they discontinued them at Primark.

Fuck.

MOM JEANS? YES PLEASE!

So because Lou Teasdale is one of my style inspirations, one thing that can’t possibly miss from your wardrobe, are mom jeans. These ones from Topshop, to be exact.

Lou obviously has a skinnier frame than I do, but that didn’t stop me from wearing oversized, somewhat fatning, acid wash, highwaisted denim mom jeans. When combined in the right way, even the chubbier girls can get away with oversized items, including this one. As long as the accentuated chubby part is concealed, you have nothing to worry about.

In my case, I had to cover up my bum and bigger thighs. If you haven’t noticed already, my ass is it’s own continent. You haven’t noticed? Good. That’s because I opted for a longer coat, that covers my backside. If you’re a little on the small side, like me, don’t worry about chopping of some leg length. Just add a small heel and it’s retained!

Or a high heel. You know, whatever.

EP RELEASE PARTY!

My sister is finally ‘kind of’ getting the hang of this fashion photography thing. The plan was to shoot at the actual venue though, but once it started raining there was no chance of me getting there without frizzy hair, so inside the house it was. It’s such a shame actually, since it’s not doing my camera quality any justice. Anyhow, here’s my attempt to look somewhat sexy. Featuring my new Steve Madden babies ofcourse!

This croptop I'm wearing is from Topshop, and I gotta admit, it's kind of itchy. BUT, that's okay because the warmth it gives you makes up for it. Kind of. If you wear it with a thick coat. And scarf. Listen I'm just trying to justify the purchase, okay? Leave me be. Lets just focus on the thing I like most in this picture. THE LIPSTICK. Diva by MAC, to be exact. Doesn't it seem like the perfect name for this deep red, with hints of purple color? Diva diva diva..

Talking about diva, can we talk about the shoes? The shoes, please, the shoes. I got these fantastic faux hair, leopard print, wedge boots. I found it very Danielle Bernstein of me. But alas, even though I loved them to bits, I had to return the babies because if the zipper. This metal demon of hell kept rubbing against my ankle, leaving painful red marks! Thank god I got my money back.

BACKPACKS AND DUSTERCOATS!

So I was planning on making a haul video, considering I haven’t made one for while now. During the period that I didn’t show you anything, I made a lot of purchases. I mean, Topshop sale started, my salary just came in.

You do the math.
So in honour of my planning to make a haul video, I thought, why not make a few blog posts, with all of my new pieces? That way I can show exactly what potential I saw in them.
If you’ve been following my splendid (not) blog for while, you’ll know that my style varies, it depends on whatever I’m in the mood for. It’s like my taste in movies. One day it’ll be romcom, the next it’ll be horror. This case, bad concert dvd.

You might wanna pause that one.

So whats new in this picture? Everything.
