Forever and ever I've been going on and off diets, workout plans, and gym subscriptions. Results, yes. Goals achieved, no. When I was about 12 (you know, the age where you just started to attend high school and start to feel the social pressure of fitting in) I knew I had to lose the pounds. The pounds that I gained when I was a carefree kid I mean, eating chocolates and crisps as I went. When my worries were nothing more than trying not to miss Pokemon or Chin-chan on television (I had a crush on Ash and Cosmo). This was also the age when I started to get into Japanese and Korean pop. Trust me, you do not want to look at skinny beautiful Korean girls when you are having a bad diet day. That being said, they did inspire me to exercise more, and to drop the chocolates. Many diets have come and gone, including the banana diet (which was very populair in Asia. Many countries even had a shortage on banana's because of this diet!!) I lost about 5 kilo's, enough to fit in and not to be bullied by the populair girls, who were apparently fed kale by their parents. Time went by and around my 16th I decided I still wasn't happy with my body. I searched around the internet and found something so amazing, that it actually made me like exercising.
Blogilates.
This, my dear people, is were it gets interesting.
Blogilates is a youtube channel/blog run by the beautiful pilates instructor Cassey Ho. On the youtube channel she posts workouts for beginners to advanced, and trains you from calves to triceps.
On the blog she posts meal plans and workout plans, recipes, tips and tricks and her monthly workout calendars. I have been training with Cassey every since.
However. I did all her videos, but never truly ate CLEAN (The very thing that's even more important than exercising). I told myself I did, but lets be honest. I loved pizza too much.
This year one of my new years resolutions was that I wanted to lose the baby fat that's been sticking to me once and for all. I'm going to do that, by following Cassey's 90 day meal plan, and by following her monthly workout calendars. And I'll be posting updates every two weeks.
Let me explain to you what exactly that means.
This is the 90 days meal plan for Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday:
This is the 90 days meal plan for Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday:
THE RULES: |
1. You must drink 3-4L of water throughout the day, everyday. |
2. You must eat every 2-3 hours. |
3. Blogilates-approved condiments: lite soy sauce, sriracha, tabasco, mustard, lemon, Mrs. Dash. |
4. If you want to see results quickly, eat ONLY the above foods. Do not snack mindlessly on other things. It all counts. |
5. If you find it is too much or too little food, just play with the portion sizes. But do not go under 1200 cals, as we will be working out 5-6x a week. |
6. Unsweetened tea and black coffee ok. |
7. No alcohol. But if you REALLY can't stand it, red wine once a week. Add it to your totals. |
I will be pairing this intense (and frightning; no pizza?) diet with her monthly workout calendars that she releases on the 1st of every month. This months (January) is shown below:
I will be following everything on this calendar, plus a little extra cardio if I feel like I need it.
My measurement are:
Bust: 91 CM/36 INCH
Waist: 72 CM/28 INCH
Hips: 92 CM/36 INCH
Thighs: 60 CM/23 INCH
Arms: 31 CM/12 INCH
Just a little chubby. And let me clarify that there is nothing wrong with that. I love my body so much. I take good care of it (maybe not the right foods, but I pamper my skin and love every single bit of it), I just personally want to be more fit. Every two weeks I will measure myself in the morning and post an update about how I'm feeling, if it's working, and if the results are worth it.
With this new project I hope I can inspire you to do this with me. Not necessarily the meal and workout plans (It would be nice if you checked out Blogilates though), but to eat healthier and to exercise to get healthier and fitter.
I've been doing this for 2 days now, and it's going pretty well. Do I want pizza? Ofcourse. Do I give in? Nah, I'll stick to my salads for the coming three months.
Lets lose some motherfucking weight.
Carré.
